Forward Ag Funds Sustainable Bioplastic Research from Dairy Coproducts
October, 2025
The Ozturk Lab received funding through the Wisconsin Forward Agriculture Use-Inspired Research & Development Program to develop membrane-based technologies for recovering polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) from dairy coproduct streams. The project combines sustainable processing approaches with techno-economic analysis to support Wisconsin’s circular bioeconomy.
